3 Carrot Oil Masks To Grow Your Hair

Although it is best known for its benefits on the skin, the vitamins and minerals in carrot can also help us to have healthy and strong hair.

1. Carrot oil mask with coconut and honey

Being rich in vitamin E, the carrot fights hair loss, and makes it shiny and strong.

Coconut, thanks to its essential oils, is ideal for treating dandruff and stimulating hair growth and hydration. Honey, on the other hand, gives them sweetness.

Ingredients

  • 2 carrots
  • ½ cup of coconut oil (100 g) (you can use coconut milk or cream if you don’t have any oil)
  • 1 tablespoon of honey (25 g)

Utensils

  • A colander or cloth to filter

What should you do ?

  • Wash the carrot, then cut it into very fine pieces to extract the juice.
  • Then mix the carrot juice with the coconut oil and honey.
  • When you get a homogeneous paste, put it in a colander or a cloth to extract the oil.
  • Apply the resulting oil all over the scalp from root to tip.
  • Cover your head with a bathing cap and leave on for half an hour.
  • Then wash your hair normally.
  • For best results, you can apply this mask every two weeks.

2. Mask with carrot oil, avocado and egg

Besides the carrot, this mask includes two excellent ingredients to regenerate your hair: the avocado will allow deep moistening while the egg will provide nutrients and a light layer that will protect it from external agents.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup of carrot juice (100 g)
  • 1 beaten egg (if your hair is oily, use only egg white)
  • 1 avocado

Utensils

  • A shower cap

What should you do ?

  • In a bowl, mix the carrot juice with the egg.
  • Then cut the avocado, extract the pulp and add it to the mixture.
  • Beat everything until you obtain a smooth paste.
  • Apply the mask to hair as if it were shampoo, covering all of them.
  • Use a shower cap and leave on overnight while you sleep. We recommend that you place a towel over your pillow, in case the beanie comes off.
  • In the morning, wash your hair with plenty of cold water.

3. Mask with carrot oil, beetroot and moisturizer

Ingredients

  • 1 carrot
  • 1 beet
  • ½ cup of water (125 ml)
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar (10 g)
  • ¼ cup of your moisturizer (50 g)

Utensils

  • 1 colander

What should you do ?

  • Wash then peel the carrots and beets.
  • Then add the carrot, beetroot, sugar and water to the container of a mixing bowl then mix until a more or less homogeneous mixture is obtained.
  • Filter the mixture through a sieve and pour it into a container with the moisturizer.
  • Mix well, once more.
  • Before applying the mask, wash your hair as usual.
  • Then apply this mixture from root to tip, massaging gently.
  • Then leave on for 20 to 30 minutes.
  • Finally rinse with water.
